Our A side of Ron, Matthew Carter and Jon Hall once again set the standard for the club and proved formidable opposition. We were also delighted for team B who this year established themselves as a true first division side, never threatened with relegation. Three of the squad are “home-grown” Tom Brocklehurst, Luke Hobbins and Chris Mulligan with Deepak and Hugh Matthews strengthening the team.

Our E side of Michael, Barry Hobbins, Tom Hunt and Anthony Smith did us proud in earning promotion but you will note from the averages that our top 3 players all played for different sides. This fact has greatly influenced our selection criteria for this coming season where we have tried to rank our players to give every team the best chance of competing for as high a position as possible.

It was good to have Lleryn back playing after becoming a Mum. Next season we hope to add 3 more teams to this division.

There are many experienced and accomplished players in this division so young Luke’s average is particularly pleasing.

Roald Myers and Niall had this division sewn up after the first half of matches and deservedly took the title.

The K side continued their improvement from last year and Jack, David and Chris Beckett were worthy champions. Our N side were due to play in division D and actually played one match there before taking the place of a team that dropped out in C. So grateful were they for the place that Solomon Hayes and Timmy Cooper decided to get promotion!

The Q side did well to gain promotion behind a Potters Green team that was playing well below their true standard. Congratulations go to Matthew Flood, Troy Pierce and Kris Reiman. The S side was a new team and were unfortunate not to have been placed in the lowest Division but, as we shall see, they put their experience to good use after Christmas.

The P side battled to the title in what was a very close division. Well done to Callum Guest, Ben King and Charlie. Jeremy and Tom were joined by Marco Xavier to also gain promotion.

The H side of Keith Knott, Estyn Williams and Tony Williams did their best to emulate West Brom by constantly going up and down the top two divisions. Stuart, Jack Hobbins and Anita Whitehouse gave us a second promoted team. Stuart is returning to the sport after some time out. Jack Leggatt had a very good average for a junior having his first stab at this level.

FC P were unlucky to miss out on a second successive promotion whilst Ben converted an average of just over 50% in Division E to become the second best player in Division D (and he beat the top player!)

All of our teams in this Division merit a mention. The S team of Harry Keen and Luke Watkins used their Division D experience to great effect and were worthy Champions. The U team of Theo Rutter and Sam Wiggins, who were January debutants, surprised everyone with their results, the T team of Olivia and Tom Fletcher and Andrew McIlvaney, the youngest side in the League, went from bottom to 3rd and another team of January debutants, the V side of James Foster, Matthew Scott and Jay Virdi also proved too good for at least two other teams.
